My research is in phylogenomics, molecular evolution and evolutionary genomics. I am broadly interested in understanding the origins of diversity, evolutionary innovation and adaptation in animals through the lens of comparative genomics.

Over the past few years, my work has been focused on chordates (tunicates) and more recently on mammals (bats and cetaceans). My current research aims at determining the role of natural selection in the diversification of bats from a comparative genomics standpoint.
