I originally studied Biochemistry and Biotechnology in Greece, before moving to France in 2005 to pursue my studies in Evolutionary Biology. In 2006, I obtained a Master’s degree in Evolutionary Biology and Ecology from the University of Montpellier 2 and, in 2009, a PhD in Evolutionary Biology with an emphasis on Phylogenetics, Phylogenomics and Molecular Evolution (working with Dr Frédéric Delsuc and Prof Emmanuel JP Douzery). My current position is at the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences in Queen Mary University of London where I am appointed as a Postdoctoral Researcher with Prof Steve Rossiter.
